Charity copywriting

I’ve written press releases, blogs, children’s and carer’s stories for Julia’s House Hospice. Many of their patrons are celebrities, often on TV raising awareness and much-needed funds for the hospice.

I’m very happy to volunteer copywriting to this fabulous children’s charity. Supporting the marketing team, interviewing families and nurses. Articulating their stories clearly and in a voice they recognise as their own.

Read how actress and comedienne Debra Stephenson took to the black chair on Celebrity Mastermind.

I’ve written “carer” stories (why they love what they do) as part of a hospice recruitment drive and have interviewed families who have a child with a life-limiting illness. I interview the families, listen to their story and capture it, in their voice..

Describing what life is like for the whole family, what support they need and the impact Julia’s House carers in-community and in-hospice have on the entire family. Sharing their stories is imperative so other families, going through similar, can find out what support is available to them.

Read Drae’s Story. This piece - when included on a fundraising direct mail pack - generated donations worth 40% over target. The hospice is virtually entirely run on donations, so any money is vital for the hospice’s continued community support.

I had such a big smile reading these. It’s so great to have you on board and this quality of writing - amazing - such a support for us in a busy comms team! You’ve made my Friday!
